Purpose...
To welcome the weary to a time and place of rest in the beautiful surroundings of nature and in the presence of our ever-present God.
Why is this vital...
The noise and busyness of daily life demands that we come away with Jesus to keep company with Him, taking time to enter His rest, to hear His Words and to enjoy His World. Without rest we so easily lose our way, our health, our hope.

Process...
We achieve this by providing four fully equipped two-bedroom cabins that are set up to sleep 6. Whether you come alone, as a family or as a group, you are invited to make yourselves at home for a day, a night or more, in the quiet spaces of this countryside retreat.
The time is yours to plan and use as desired, with respect for others who may also be on retreat. You may choose to explore the sprawling 150 acres, fish in the lake, read a book, nap in your cabin, or sit by a warm fire overlooking the lake. Bring your Bible, your journal, art supplies, fishing pole, ipod, and/or whatever it is that enables you to connect with the heart of God. The Springs is a registered 501c3.

Work Day at The Springs
Early Saturday morning, sunshine filtered through the clouds to greet a hardy crew of volunteers as they drove up the newly named gravel road, Lake Ridge Lane, to unite their efforts in working many transformations at The Springs. Shovels in hand several tackled the Staff house garden, adding dirt to improve drainage while creating a fresh look with perennials and annuals. Others spent the day installing a boardwalk over the marshy areas at the east end of the lake to create a trail around the lake. A wood chipped path now leads from the courtyard to the hot tub, to allow guests easy access to it from the cabins. Installation of two horseshoe pits and a volleyball net offers groups new opportunities for recreational activities. The efforts of others were given to finishing the inside of the Director's Suite in the basement of the Staff house, while a team painted the faux logs needed to face the exterior walls, and another group labored to lay pavers for a patio. Sharing lunch and dinner on the Lakeside deck provided time to rest and enjoy the beauty of the day and the company of friends who served to create new places where guests might come away to rest and enjoy time with God and others.
