About The Springs - A Place of Retreat
Welcome to the The Springs, a 150 acre Christian Retreat Center dedicated to providing an environment for Christian leaders in ministry to encounter the healing love and presence of God in order to serve with greater authenticity. We provide space for a variety of encounters through Personal or Group Retreats, day or overnight stays, or through receiving Spiritual Direction. Our desire is that your time is God led, unhurried, and peace filled. Doing less allows you to receive more.
How We Achieve This
Your deepest longing is met through an intentially prepared and welcoming environment that encourages connection with God. We provide four fully equipped two-bedroom cabins, each able to sleep 6. Whether you come alone, as a family or as a small group, you are invited to make yourselves at home for a day, a night or more, in the quiet spaces of this countryside retreat where you are unhindered by the distractions of your daily life so that you might have time and space to be with God. Your time is His. We do not offer programed retreats. Instead, we have intentionally crafted invitations through spiritual practice guides and invitational spaces where you might linger in times of silence and solitude. The time is yours to plan and use as desired, with respect for others who may also be on retreat. You may choose to explore the sprawling 150 acres, fish in the lake, read a book under the trees or nap in your cabin. Bring your Bible, your journal, and/or art supplies or fishing pole, or whatever it is that enables you to connect with the heart of God.
Why This Is Vital
The noise and busyness of daily life demands that we come away with Jesus to keep company with Him, taking time to enter His rest, to hear His Words and to enjoy His World. Without rest we so easily lose our way, our health, our hope. Come, disconnect from technology and reconnect with God in nature.
Pack lightly. Live simply for a day or two or more.
BRING: Your Bible, a journal, a sketch pad, a camera, binoculars, fishing pole, and comfortable walking shoes.
Come. Slow. Rest. Explore. Enjoy God. You will be refreshed!

Retreat: A Response to God's Invitation
-- Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.
-- a quiet or secluded place in which one can connect with and find rest in God alone
-- In the country of God's affections, such a time and space are ours for the asking. God is waiting for us, expecting us, offering us a time of restoration. Emilie Griffin
-- Spiritual disciplines are means to prevent everything in your life from being filled up. It means somewhere you're not occupied and you're certainly not preoccupied. It means to create that space in which something can happen that you hadn't planned on or counted on. Henri Nouwen
-- Resting gives us the energy it takes to build our relationship with God one on one. When we are rested, we listen better. When we are rested we notice desires as well as lies buried in our souls.
