History...
King’s Ranch was established as “An Oasis of Renewal” in 2001 by Vernon and Phyllis King. Their purpose was to provide “a safe haven for rest, recovery and restoration” for those involved in Christian ministry, recognizing that ministry was often demanding and exhausting. For almost 10 years they poured their personal time, energy and resources into establishing King’s Ranch as a premier personal retreat facility. In July, 2010 the Kings passed the baton of leadership of the ministry to Dick and Sibyl Towner and Skip and Linda Holmes. In January of 2011, we re-branded the ministry to The Springs: A Place to Return to.
God continues to write His story here at The Springs through the team that serves Him as they serve our guests. Dick and Sibyl have influenced the lives of Skip and Linda for almost 40 years, and together they are committed to nurturing the faith journeys of others in their respective homes, churches and communities. This joint partnership opens an opportunity to carry on with their lifestyles, offering spiritual encouragement, hospitality and if desired, spiritual direction and retreat planning to an ever widening circle of people. The support of John and Joan Kelley on the Board of Directors adds energy and enthusiasm for the ministry that takes place daily at The Springs. We hope you will be part of our history in the making!
